About Together

The events in the story are based on true stories from over 20 commuters and their frequency is controlled by randomness, with several hidden routes built in. This is further extended by allowing participants to contribute their own ridiculous, heartwarming, or otherwise frustrating transit story. All submissions are sent to the team as a potential new story to add and are immediately added to a list of quotes for others to see.

Together exists not only as a digital narrative but a communal archive of our stories and a framework for visualizing quantitative and qualitative data about NYC, transit, and the people who use it.
